The film has opened with huge expectations, and the early box office response is very strong. Fans of Yash are celebrating the massive demand for the movie across different markets.
The film has already created a major record through advance bookings. According to the latest figures being shared by trade sources, Toxic has crossed 1.62 million ticket sales on BookMyShow and other ticketing platforms. The film has also reportedly moved ahead of the final BookMyShow pre-sales figure associated with Dhurandhar 2. The film already bagged 100 crores gross with these massive bookings.
Another major talking point is the Kannada market. Early reports suggest that Toxic has crossed the opening-day record of Kantara in Karnataka. This is a big achievement for Yash, especially because Kantara became one of the most successful Kannada films and created a strong benchmark at the box office.
The response is not limited to Karnataka. Telugu states are also witnessing strong openings, with audiences showing good interest in the film. The movie is also expected to perform well in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam markets.
Yash’s performance is receiving praise from many moviegoers. His mass image and popularity after KGF have helped create huge excitement around Toxic. The film has been released on a large scale, with shows starting early in several locations.
Trade expectations are also high for the first day. Some predictions suggest that Toxic could even go higher of Rs 200 crores, depending on occupancy and collections from all markets.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a gangster action drama featuring Yash in the lead role. Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth are also part of the cast.
