"Where Do They Get These Stories?" Yash Breaks Silence on Toxic Rumours

Actor Yash has finally spoken about the delay and rumours surrounding his upcoming film Toxic. The actor addressed the reports at the trailer launch of the movie in Bengaluru on August 8. He explained why the film took a long time to complete and strongly reacted to reports that the project had been stopped or shelved.

Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas and has a large star cast. The movie has been made in both Kannada and English. According to Yash, the film required a lot of time because of its scale, locations, actors and production work.

Yash also said that Toxic should not be seen only as a Kannada film. He believes the movie represents Indian cinema on a much bigger level.

"Now it is no more Kannada, Tamil, Telugu. This is an Indian film," Yash said.

He explained that many talented actors and technicians from different backgrounds came together for the project. According to him, everyone involved focused on the film instead of their personal status.

"This film has happened because all these lovely, talented, successful people have kept their egos aside, kept other things aside, and they’ve just come with one cause, to put Indian film on a global platform," he said.

Yash also spoke about the challenge of working with a large group of successful actors. He said that when many established people come together, there can naturally be pressure and expectations. However, the team managed to work together with one common goal.

The actor also said that Toxic is very different from his popular KGF films. He made it clear that the new movie was not planned as a regular commercial entertainer.

"This movie is a very tough one because the kind of decisions, on the surface level, it was not easy. It is not a perfect commercial package film," Yash said.

Yash also praised director Geetu Mohandas. He said that he gives more importance to a director's passion than their previous box-office record.

"I always believe in directors’ passion than their past success," he said.

He added that Geetu had a strong vision for Toxic and wanted to create something different. Yash appreciated her dedication and the effort she put into the film.

The actor then addressed the repeated rumours that Toxic had been stopped. He questioned how such stories were being created while the team was continuously working on the movie.

"Ter or 20th day, there will be news about a film being shelved, a film being stopped. I don’t know from where they write these stories," Yash said.

Yash revealed that Toxic was shot for around 200 days. He said the film's large scale naturally created several production challenges, but the team continued working despite them.

With the trailer now released, Toxic has once again created strong interest among movie lovers. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what Yash and Geetu Mohandas have created with this ambitious project.
