Our Ravana interpretation will be unique and epic - Yash

Yash is set to redefine Indian mythology by playing the complex role of Ravana in director Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated epic Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor is playing Lord Rama while Sai Pallavi is playing Sita. Yash is deeply invested in bringing a fresh and intricate interpretation of the legendary antagonist to the big screen.

Delving into the multifaceted nature of the character, he conceptualized the ten heads as distinct identities with unique voices and appearances. "No matter how we present ourselves, we have so many dilemmas in our head. We wanted our interpretation to be a very unique, epic and special one," he explained about shaping this distinctive visual sequence.

Finding a personal connection to this mastery across disciplines, Yash resonated with the character's internal contradictions. "All my friends say that it's quite like my head. I do multiple jobs, I like taking on new things," he shared, highlighting how this relatability became his starting point for the monumental role.

Exploring the psychological depths rather than just the larger-than-life aura, he focused on the antagonist's unexpected patience and sarcasm. He stated, "Ravana is ready with an answer but lets others complete. He doesn't respect yet he tries to not show it. Like this, we took a grounded approach."

Yash remarked that he is excited to watch people reaction to this great epic in theatres. Produced by Namit Malhotra, DNEG, Yash on a lavish scale, the movie is releasing worldwide on 5th November. Dil Raju's SVC is releasing the film in Telugu States. Advance bookings for the film have been phenomenal across the globe.
