The news broke out that Rocking Star Yash has decided to co-produce 'Ramayana' under his 'Monster Mind Creations' banner. Namit Malhotra has also joined the production team with his 'Prime Focus Studios' banner. This brought a major boost to the much-awaited 'Ramayan' project. When asked about the reason behind getting onboard as a producer apart from being an actor, he has this to say.

He said, “We believe we know Ramayana well, yet each time it unveils fresh wisdom, ignites new knowledge and offers unique perspectives. Our vision is to translate this timeless epic onto the silver screen. It will be a grand spectacle, honoring its scale, but at its core, it will be an honest and faithful portrayal of the story, emotions and values we hold dear. This is a journey to share Ramayana with the world.”

He added, “Ramayana as a subject, deeply resonates with me and I had an approach in my mind for it. By joining forces to co-produce Ramayana we are bringing together our collective vision and experience to create an Indian film that will ignite excitement and passion in audiences across the world.”

The official announcement regarding this much-awaited project is expected to come out on 17th April. It is well known that Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor is expected to play the role of lord Ram. Sai Pallavi is expected to play Sita's role while there are talks regarding Yash playing the role of Ravanasura. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman while Lara Dutta will be seen as Kaikeyi and Vibishan will be portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi. Reports suggest that Rakul might be doing Surpanaka's role.
