Yashika Aannand's journey into the spotlight began when she transitioned from being an Instagram model to an actress. At the age of 14, she started her acting career with a role in Inimey Ippadithan (2015). However, her first breakthrough came with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru in 2016.

Despite its small budget, the film was a success and brought recognition to its cast. Aannand went on to feature in Paadam (2018), Maniyaar Kudumbam (2018), and the adult comedy film Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu (2018).

Her talents reached a wider audience when she participated in the second season of Bigg Boss Tamil in 2018, finishing in fifth place. Yashika Aannand continued to diversify her roles, starring in the animated zombie film Zombie and earning the title of "most desirable woman on television" by Chennai Times in 2018. Her achievements were further celebrated in 2021 when she received the Best Actress Award at the Las Vegas Independent Film Festival for the film Bestie.
