Sankranthiki Vastunnam Day 1: Superb Start

Featuring Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role and directed by Anil Ravipudi, Sankranthiki Vastunnam had its theatrical release on the 14th of January and it is running successfully in theaters. Here’s a look at the opening day numbers of the film.

This is a pretty solid start at the box office for this proper Sankranti entertainer, which is running heavily on the family pull that Venkatesh enjoys. Director Anil has succeeded in delivering a film that can pull the masses in big numbers this Sankranti festival season and that is working the trick for this film.

The box office projection is clearly in favour of this comedy entertainer, which is leading the other two Sankranti films that released last week - Game Changer and Daaku Maharaj.

The film is putting up a surprisingly good show in the ceeded belt, which is usually aligned with mass films. The positive momentum is carrying into the box office performance of this Venkatesh starrer.

The overseas collections are also looking pretty encouraging for the film with a decent Rs 5 crore return in the opening day run. The bookings for the second day have been pretty positive as well.

If this momentum is carried into the opening weekend of the film, then it is sure to post not less than ₹150 crore gross at the box office. It has to be seen if the momentum will be held over the weekend as well.
