Shocking: 10 babies died at a hospital after fire Breaks Out

The horrific incident took place in Maharashtra on Saturday at a multi-storeyed hospital in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra. Seventeen babies were admitted to the hospital.
According to the reports, 17 babies were admitted to the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) of the hospital. When the fire broke out, 10 out of the 17 babies died, while seven babies were rescued.
When the fire broke out, the staff members at the hospital swung into action and extinguished the fire. The smoke caused by the fire is said to be the reason for the deaths as the babies suffered from suffocating reportedly.
Talking about the incident, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the reason for the fire is yet to be confirmed. A case has been registered and the investigation is underway.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the shocking incident and condoled the deaths of the young lives and hoped that babies who were injured will recover as soon as possible.
"Heart-wrenching tragedy in Bhandara, Maharashtra, where we have lost precious young lives. My thoughts are with all the bereaved families. I hope the injured recover as early as possible (sic), "PM Modi's tweet reads.
