Rs 10 lakh Penalty on Narayana College

Corporate Colleges have been mounting too much pressure on the Students for the sake of ranks in competitive examinations. Those Students who weren't able to cope with the pressure have been ending their lives. This is the reason why a lot of suicides took place in the AP Colleges in the past few years.
Recently, A Girl Student of Narayana College committed suicide. State Government ordered for an enquiry into the tragedy. Officials have reached the conclusion that negligence shown by staff and failure of the management forced the Student to take the extreme step. Subsequently, RIO Ravi imposed Rs 10 lakh penalty on the Narayana College in Kadapa.
Authorities had conducted an inspection at few colleges in Rayachoti on Wednesday. During this visit, RIO Ravi said: 'We have conducted an in-depth inquiry into the death of Girl Student in Narayana College. Appropriate action would be take on the Managements if students of Government and Private Colleges were pressurized'.
Better if Governments focus on the measures need to be taken to prevent Students Suicides rather than just imposing penalty after loss of life. An environment where students study voluntarily should be created.
