Did 'Ghost' Comments Hurt Collector Amrapali?

With elections in sight, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has effected a major reshuffle of the administration. The hallmark of the reshuffle lies in getting officers close to him to key positions and shunting out tough officers to less significant posts. The aim is to have favourable officers at the helm of the administration.

Hyderabad collector Yogita Rana, known to be a no-nonsense officer, has been shunted to family welfare department. As district collector of Hyderabad, she had come down with a heavy hand on land mafia. He had recently a run-in with MIM on land grab issue. MIM is a key ally of the ruling TRS. Raghunandan Rao, Collector, Rangareddy, has been posted as Hyderabad collector.

But, KCR has given a shock to controversial IAS officer Amrapali, known for funny acts and comments. She had even said that there were ghosts in the Warangal collectorate. She has been shifted from Warangal, but has not been given any posting.

The collectors of Sircilla and Siddipet, represented by KTR and Harish Rao respectively, have been swapped. Both the collectors are known to be in the good books of the TRS bosses.
