Bus-Train Collision: 13 Children Killed In UP

The ghastly train-bus collision that took place in Uttar Pradesh has shocked everybody. The school bus driver's carelessness resulted in school bus colliding with the train at the Railway level crossing. While 13 children were killed on the spot, a few others were injured. A total of 18 students were traveling in the bus as per the reports.
The initial reports suggest that the absence of the guard at the railway level crossing is the main reason for the ghastly accident. The accident took place in Dudhi near Kushinagar town. The school bus severely damaged because of the train's high speed. UP Chief Minister expressed his deep condolences at the mishap and announced an ex-gratia of Rs.2 lakh to each family. Considering the gravity of the situation, PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh expressed their condolences through Twitter.
Whenever this kind of accidents take place, the ruling party leaders focus on announcing compensation rather than taking strict measures to stop this kind of mishaps in future.
