166 New FBs across Hyderabad

IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao stated Telangana Government is planning to construct 166 footbridges across Hyderabad very soon. This move is intended to drastically reduce the road accidents in the city.
As per statistics, About 52 percent of the people who die in road accidents are Pedestrians. About 1,053 road accidents happened in Hyderabad till May this year. On an average, 7 accidents per day. In 2013, The number of road accidents in Hyderabad were 2,409.
