In what it could be a shocker, 1,993 fresh cases of novel coronavirus reported in India in the past 24 hours, which makes the total cases in the country to surpass the 35,000-mark creating many fears and concerns about the spread of the virus. The toll in the country currently stood at 35,043 and the active cases in the country are 25,007.

To date, the death count of COVID-19 reached 1,147 in India as 73 deaths were reported in the country in the past 24 hours. Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit state of Coronavirus as the count in the state surpassed 10,000 cases.

The cases of COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh are increasing steadily as the count of the cases stood at 1,403 as on Thursday going by the information provided by the state Health Department. 71 fresh cases were reported in AP on Thursday.

Talking about fellow Telugu state Telangana, 22 fresh cases were reported on Thursday which takes the toll of the positive cases in the state to 1038. The death toll of COVID-19 stood at 28 in the state with three lost their lives battling the dreaded virus.

The US is going through tough times with the deadly outbreak of the COVID-19 virus as the people who were infected with the fatal virus surpassed the one million-mark which is the highest for any country in the world.

On the other hand, the fatalities of COVID-19 in the US surpassed the 60,000-mark which is more than the number of American soldiers died in the Vietnam War that lasted for two long decades.

Looking at the worldwide scenario, the infected people with the COVID-19 virus globally surpassed 3.21 million, while 227,864 have succumbed to the fatal virus.US, France, and Italy are the top three countries that were hit hard by the pandemic.
