By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Oct 2018 9:45 AM GMTHere's a shocking news. The Rs 2000 denomination note is going out of circulation in both the Telugu states. According to sources from the banking sector, at least a half of the Rs 2000 denomination notes released by the banks are going out of rotation. Where are they going? If the banking sources are to be believed, the politicians who are going to contest the elections in Telangana and AP are hoarding the amount so that they can use for electioneering.
The Telangana elections are just 45 days away and the elections in AP would be held in about six months. The Parliamentary elections in Telangana would also be held next year. So, the the Rs 2000 notes are going ot of circulation. According to sources, Rs 53,000 crore worth of Rs 2000 notes have been issued by the RBI, but by September end only Rs 25000 crore worth of notes are in rotation The remaining amount , the RBI believes, has been hoarded. The Central agencies are already busy tracing the missing money.
