2,214 Fresh Infections Detected In Telangana

In the last 24 hours, 54,443 samples were tested in the state and 2,214 patients were found infected with the virus, which pushes the toll of the total cases to 1,93,600. So far, a total of 30,50,444 samples have been tested.
Along with witnessing over 2,000 fresh cases, the state has been reporting over 2,000 recoveries for quite some time, which can be cited as a good sign of progress.
The COVID-19 recoveries which have been increasing gradually zoomed to a whopping 1,63,407, including 2,474 patients recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. Telangana has a higher recovery rate than the national recovery rate with 84.40 percent.
In the last 24 hours, eight patients breathed their last battling the virus, taking the toll of the total COVID-19 related fatalities to 1135 with a mortality rate of 0.58 percent.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) witnessed the highest number of fresh cases with 305, followed by Ranga Reddy(191), Medchal(153), Nalgonda(149), and Warangal Urban(131).
