The first movie produced by him with the ill-gotten money was 'Manasa vinave' introducing his nephew as a Hero. However, The film never got a release for some undisclosed reasons.
Finally, Cops nabbed Balamurugan in Bengaluru at the time when he was planning another movie under his banner with the robbed money. About Rs 72 lakhs in cash and Rs 1 crore worth gold ornaments were recovered from him. As many as 29 criminal cases were booked against Balamurugan who is right now suffering from a life-threatening disease.
