In a sheer incident of negligence, medical staff reportedly gave anti-rabies doses to three elderly women, when they visited a health center to take the vaccine dose for Coronavirus.

The shocking incident took place in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Three elderly women Saroj(70), 72-year-old Anarkali, and 62-year-old Satyavati visited a community health centre to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

However, instead of Covid-19 vaccine doses, the elderly women administered the anti-rabies doses. After taking the vaccine dose, 70-year-old Saroj complained of uneasiness.

Following this, her family members rushed her to a private hospital. The doctors examined her and said as per the vaccination prescription, she was administered an anti-rabies vaccine.

The vaccination prescription of the two other women has the same which made their family members worry and panic.

The family members reached out to the chief medical officer (CMO) and registered a complaint in this regard.
