Three US Citizens Sued TCS! For What?
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Sep 2018 5:43 AM GMTThree US Citizens working for two companies sued Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) alleging discrimination based on race and national origin.
Darryl Stacy, Donald Stephen Bradley and Hesham Hafez lodged a complaint against TCS in the District Court of New Jersey for allegedly preferring H-1Bs instead of trained US Professionals. They complain discrimination by India's Largest Outsourcing Firm while hiring locally by opting for Indians and South Asians.
As per the complaint, TCS implemented a nationwide 'leadership directive' to utilise its visa-ready South Asian employees to the maximum extent.
Indian IT Companies are under tremendous pressure to hire locally in the US due to the policies of the Trump Administration. Lawsuits against TCS, Infosys and HCL Technologies complicate the situation further.
