33 Percent MPs & MLAs face Criminal Cases

While Parliamentarians are up to 774, There are about 4,078 Legislators. Only 451 (9 Percent) of them comprise Women. While Lok Sabha have 12 percent women representation, It's just 10 percent in Rajya Sabha.
As per Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) in the Electoral College, Uttar Pradesh have maximum number of women representation in Parliament & Assembly. West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh are in 2nd and 3rd spots respectively. Nagaland doesn't have either MPs or MLAs and hence it have zero percent votes.
About 33 percent of MPs and MLAs have been facing Criminal Cases. While 34 percent Lok Sabha MPs & 19 percent Rajya Sabha MPs have declared criminal cases against themselves in Election Affidavit, 33 percent MLAs were charged with criminal cases. About 20 percent of the public representatives have been facing serious criminal charges.
