5 dead after Car falls into Godavari river

In a ghastly road accident five people including women and two children were killed as a car fell into the river Godavari in the early hours of Saturday.The accident took place near dariyalatippa village in Yanam constituency after the vehicle plunged into river.
As per the reports, the speeding Indica car (AP 5V201) is said to have lost control, hit the railing and fell in river. As it was in the night, no one had noticed the mishap. People travelling in the vehicle were fast asleep and died on the spot.
Some local fishermen noticed the vehicle and alerted the police who rushed to the spot and began with the rescue operation.The Indica V2 car was removed from the river with the help of the Fire Engine Department staff.
It was identified that all the people are residents from Driver colony in Kakinada. Bodies have been sent to hospital for post-Morten and more details are yet to be known.
