There is disquiet among the TRS MLAs from Warangal as reports say that some of the MLAs were found lagging behind in popularity. There is also a buzz that at least five sitting MLAs would be replaced this time. This has led to speculations about the MLAs who are likely to lose their seats.

Undivided Warangal has 12 MLAs, of which 11 belong to the TRS. Of them, at least five MLAs are said to be facing anti-incumbency. Even the personal surveys that KCR had commissioned have yielded the same results. With this, there is a talk that these MLAs would be denied tickets in the upcoming assembly elections.

Ever since the surveys were commissioned, the MLAs are now on a touring spree of their constituencies. They are attending even small programmes and are meeting the cadre, who they abandoned soon after winning. They are also said to be holding village level meetings on a regular basis . They are now said to be trying to retain the cadre base.

Caste based meetings have also become the order of the day. The MLAs are trying mobilise the people belonging to their caste to show their strength. At the same time, they are trying to show that they are very much in the race. Many hope that even if they fail to get the party ticket, they might get some decent nominated post in the bargain.
