50 Years In Jail For Srinivas Kuchibhotla Killer

US Navy Veteran Adam Purinton pleaded guilty of killing Telugu techie Srinivas Kuchibhotla at a bar in Kansas in February last year.
When the Judge asked if he would plead to the first-degree murder charges, The 52-Year-Old replied: 'Guilty, Your Honour'.
Srinivas Kuchibhotla's friend Alok Madasani who was injured in the hate crime incident appeared in the court as witness. He told, 'Purinton had abused Me & Srinivas when we were at a bar. Minutes later, He came back with a gun and shot Srinivas thrice. I was shot in the leg. Ian Grillot who tried to stop Purinton was shot in the arm and chest'.
Adam Purinton faces life in prison and there is no chance of obtaining parole for 50 years.
Sunayana Dumala (Srinivas Kuchibhotla's widow) wasn't present at the court but she issued a statement. She stressed, 'We must love one another and continue to work for peace'.
