56 Fresh COVID-19 Reported in AP, Count Reaches 813
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 April 2020 8:17 AM GMTThe novel coronavirus is spreading its wings in Andhra Pradesh as 56 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in the state in the past 24 hours taking the toll of the positive cases to 813. The state government has issued a health bulletin in this regard.
Out of the fresh 56 cases, Kurnool and Guntur districts reported 19 cases each while Chittor, Kadapa, Krishna, and Prakasham districts reported 6,5,3 and 5 cases respectively.
Going by the information provided by the health bulletin between yesterday 9 am to today 9 am a total of 5757 samples were tested and out of which 56 samples were tested positive for the virus.
To date, 120 patients were discharged after recovering from the virus. While 24 were discharged in the past 24 hours. The death toll of COVID-19 in the state reached 24.
Kurnool tops the list of the districts with most positive cases with 203, followed by Guntur, Krishna, and Nellore with 177,86 and 67 cases respectively. While 669 patients were being treated for the virus.
Total COVID-19 in India reached 20,000 while 50 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the toll count of COVID-19 deaths in India reached 640.
