6 Parties get Rs 622.38 crS donations: BJP tops the list

National Parties of India have received a whopping sum of Rs 622.38 crore as donation from various Sources for the year 2014-15 and it was very higher than last year. It was an increase of 151 per cent, from the previous financial year 2013-14.
Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch (NEW), have analyzed the donations received by the various National Political Parties and published the results. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was the recipient of the largest sum of donations received by any national political party In india.
It got donations amounting to Rs 437.35 crore out of a total sum of Rs 622.38 crore received by all political parties in 2014-15. The party’s donations recorded a 156 per cent hike the after Narendra Modi came to power.The total amount of donations above Rs 20,000 declared by the national parties to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) declared that the party did not receive any donations above Rs 20,000 during FY15.
