The employees, especially the young ones, are in jitters over how the post covid job situation would look like. Job insecurity, difficulty in managing work from home situations and uncertainties of life are leading depression and anxiety among them.

According to a recent survey 'Rebooting 2020: A Story of Covid 19, Shifting Perceptions' by the Maverics India, 61 per cent of the employees are feeling insecure and are depressed. Women feel that the work burden has increased, while male employees feel that the future of their jobs looks bleak. Interestingly, most employees feel that working from the office is better than working from home. 75 per cent of the employees want to work from the offices. However, the managements feel that work-from-home helps in cutting costs and in increasing employee productivity.

At least 90percent of the executives feel that it would take at least a year for the economy to revive itself. A good 26 per cent feel that it would take more than two years for the economy to stand on its legs. They feel that there would be no tourism at least for the coming six months. At least 67 per cent strongly feel that they would not go on an outing for at least coming six months.
