63-Year-Old attempts to rape Student in Hyderabad

A rape attempt on Class VI student of Nalanda High School in Vengalrao Nagar of Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar by a Watchman-cum-Attender on Saturday night has come to lime light now.
The Victim stays in the Girls Hostel in the School Premises. While she was returning from her study hour on Saturday, Hara Gopal, the accused, took her into a room and began making sexual advances. Somehow, the girl managed to escape from him and narrated the whole incident to her father the very next day.
The Girl's Father who is a make-up man approached Police on Monday to lodge a complaint. A case under Criminal Law Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered. The accused was taken into custody and remanded after being produced in court.
