69.3% Reposed Trust In Central Government-Led By Modi: A Survey

Despite facing severe criticism from the opposition over Covid-19 management, the Central government headed by Prime Minister gained the trust of the public, a survey stated.

Going by the findings of the IANS CVoter Media Tracker survey, 69.3 percent of the respondents have trust in the Centre led by Narendra Modi. This translates to over two-thirds of the respondents.

The survey was carried out to find out the credibility of the establishments, amongst various media consumption developments. 16.2 percent of the respondents don't have trust in the Central government.

Even after going through a turbulent interval, banks recorded the trustworthiness of 76.5 percent among the respondents, while 6.2 percent of respondents distrust the banks.

Coming to the state governments, the trustworthiness stood at 67.7 percent, while 16.7 percent of the respondents said they have no trust in the state governments.

Amid controversy over TRP ratings, the newspapers reported trustworthiness of 82 percent, while the TV news had a trustworthiness of 73.5 percent. 70.6 percent of the respondents had trust in news websites.

According to the information, more than 5,000 respondents across the nation took part in the survey. All the districts of the 29 states had a representation in the survey by the respondents.
