2006 Mumbai Train Blasts Verdict Out

The serial bombings on 11 July 2006 killed 189 people and injured more than 800. Seven RDX bombs kept in Mumbai suburban exploded trains in the evening rush hour on 11 July 2006and the attack was blamed on Islamic militants.
Public prosecutor Raja Thakre speaking to reports said that justice was done for the victims. Raja sasy he will ask for the strictest punishment when he argued for sentences. As per reports sentencing is expected to be pronounced on Monday after judge hears arguments from the prosecutors and defense lawyers. As per reports the guilty face the death penalty or life in prison.
The 12 accused who were convicted on Friday are: Kamal Ahamed Ansari (37), Tanvir Ahmed Ansari (37), Mohd Faisal Shaikh (36), Ehtesham Siddiqui (30), Mohammad Majid Shafi (32), Shaikh Alam Shaikh (41), Mohd Sajid Ansari (34), Muzzammil Shaikh (27), Soheil Mehmood Shaikh (43), Zamir Ahmad Shaikh (36), Naveed Hussain Khan (30) and Asif Khan (38).
Seven bomb blasts took place over a period of 11 minutes on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai.The bombs were set off in pressure cookers on trains.
