79 Medicos Got Infected With The Pandemic In Hyderabad
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Jun 2020 7:38 AM GMTIn what it could be a shocker, in the last two weeks around 79 government doctors got infected with the pandemic. This is after four doctors and three paramedics working at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) tested positive for the virus reportedly.
Talking about the same, President of NIMS Resident Doctors Association Dr. G. Srinivas stated that the doctors and the staff working at the hospitals need to get more protection.
Public Health Experts are citing that doctors who render their services at the top three hospitals in Hyderabad testing positive indicated that the situation has reached an alarming level.
Dr. G.Srinivas maintained that conducting tests to detect the pandemic acts like an early warning system and by not conducting adequate tests the state government is putting the health of medicos and health workers at risk.
The Telangana government is not mentioning the count of samples tested daily in its health bulletin, unlike Andhra Pradesh which irked the High Court. The court directed the state government to mention the data on the samples tested.
