In a shocking development, Kiran an eight-year-old white tiger succumbed to the neoplastic tumour in the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. The Zoo Park officials confirmed the sad news.

The deceased Tiger Kiran which was born in Nehru Zoological Park itself has been undergoing treatment for neoplastic tumour since three weeks. The Laboratory for Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCONES) that works under the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has been treating the dog with intensive care treatment

The White Tiger which developed the neoplastic tumour on the right side of the lower jaw breathed its last breath battling the dreaded tumour on Thursday.

Quite surprisingly, Kiran's father and grandfather also lost life to the same tumor at the age of 12 and 14. With three Big Cats sling lives to the tumour, experts started a study into this.

With three generations of White Tigers succumbing to the neoplastic tumour, the zoo authorities asked LaCONES to study the cause of the fatal tomour. However, the authorities are awaiting the biopsy results of Kiran.
