80 Drunk Drivers sent to Jail in Hyd

Telangana Police decided to act tough on drunk driving in the capital city, Hyderabad. In a span of just two weeks, As many as 508 people [Balanagar - 113 People, Alwal - 77 People, Shamshabad - 73 People, Kukatpally - 66 People, Miyapur - 58 People] were caught red-handed in the Cyberabad limits alone during the special drives.
Courts in Miyapur, Rajendra Nagar and Medchal have sentenced 80 people of them to prison for a period of 2 to 14 days. Almost all of them were repeated offenders. While some of the Drunk Drivers got away with fines, All of the people who were caught took part in the counselling session.
Most of the road mishaps happen due to driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol. A lot of times Innocent People pay the price for the faults of Drunkards. Only stringent action would bringing a change in the situation.
