Sensational: 9 Telugu Biggies Eyeing Sankranthi
X
In what could be a sensational development of sorts, a total of 8 Telugu biggies are sizing up the theatrical release prospect next Sankranthi season. The likes of Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak, and Prabhas's Radhe Shyam have already locked Sankranthi release slots. Other mid-range films like F3, and Nagarjuna's Bangarraju are locked for Sankranthi release but they are yet to lock the release slots. These films will more or less be locking Sankranthi window release at all costs.

Now, the Sankranthi release window is set to spice up big time as there are several biggies lining up for release next Sankranthi festival season. There will be a fair few big-ticket releases during the Sankranthi season, apart from Bheemla Nayak, SVP, and Radhe Shyam which have already locked the release slots. Apparently, Chiranjeevi's Acharya, Balayya's Akhanda, and the biggest of the lot, RRR are gearing up for theatrical release next Sankranthi season.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Radhe Shyam are indeed locked and loaded for theatrical release on 13th and 14th January respectively. There will be no change in this regard no matter what. Now that RRR looks set to lock 12th January release slot, it would be really interesting to see if Bheemla Nayak will actually take on Rajamouli's RRR, which is not advisable. But if the makers do stick to the initial release plans, it would be interesting to witness the clash between these films. Needless to say, RRR will be the overwhelming favorite to win the battle.

While SVP, Radhe Shyam, and Bheemla Nayak have already locked release dates, the likes of Acharya and Akhanda are now eyeing Sankranthi release slots. Even RRR looks set to take up the Sankranthi slot, which would greatly affect the box office prospects of other corresponding releases. That said, other films are hoping that the festival release will serve their box office prospects really well. Meanwhile, other films like Bangarraju, and F3 are also set to test their luck. A total of 9 films are now gearing up for Sankranthi release. If not right during the Sankranthi season, these films will almost certainly be releasing in the month of January.
