AP Speaker to appear before Telangana Court on April 20th

Karimnagar Special Magistrate (Mobile) Court issues summons to AP Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao in connection with the violation of Election norms.
On June 16th last year, Kodela confessed: 'I spend just Rs 30,000 during my first election in 1983. In 2014 Polls, The election expenditure has gone up to Rs 11.50 crore'.
Based on these revelation made by AP Speaker, Singireddy Bhaskar Reddy moved the Karimnagar Magistrate Court on July 11th, 2016. He accused Kodela of spending 40 times more than what's been permitted by the Election Commission. Later, Bhaskar Reddy approached High Court and got the case registered.
