Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu told he have no second thoughts about offering all possible support to AP. 'I'm doing my bit to bail out AP from crisis. As long as I continue in Politics, My sole aim will be development. Special Status is a sentiment. Few people are publicizing it as a solution for every problem. I appealed PM to clear the confusion over the guidelines of 14th Finance Commission. Modi prepared a draft after holding meetings with Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah and other key leaders. I suggested Union Finance Minister and AP CM should be present during the official announcement,' he told.

AP Reorganisation Act 2014: 'It was mentioned in the Bill that promises should be fulfilled in a span of 10 Years. We have completed 2 years so far. As per my knowledge, Never been before so many projects and development works have been taken up'.

Special Status: 'I was the one who demanded Special Status during bifurcation as there is no development here. But now, Centre has been taking up several development works. We are addressing Revenue Deficit. This problem wouldn't have raised had if UPA mentioned about Special Status in the Bill. 9 Other States have been demanding Special Status. Tamil Nadu CM and Congress Leader Veerappa Moily objected Tax Exemptions to AP'.

'Few people say Special Status will convert every District into Hyderabad. They are misguiding people. I never objected Special Status but few media houses have published such reports. Status isn't a solution for all problems. Usually, States will receive funds on 50:50 basis. After BJP came to power, States share increased to 60 percent. States have special status will have a share of 90 percent. That's the only difference!'.

Assistance to AP beyond what was promised in AP: 'AP was known as developed state once. Chandrababu deserves credit for it! The proposed AP Capital don't have the facilities on par with Hyderabad. Now, Centre is doing everything it can to improve the situation'.

Announcement from Centre: 'What's the hurry? If I reveal it prior, The sweetness will be lost! For various development works, Centre sanctioned Rs 36,000 crore. Even if Centre accords Special Status, Constant support need to be there for AP to reach a level-playing ground'.

Polavaram: 'UPA cheated AP People by not including it in Bill and not granting National Status. Did it either fix the time period to complete the project? What has Congress done in the past 34 years? See, What BJP did in the past 2 years!'.

AP Capital: 'Centre is cooperating with AP Govt for the new capital. Funds will be granted for 168 km ring road covering capital, Speed rail between Guntur-Vijayawada, Road linking Rayalseema and Amaravati, Construction of High Court, Secretariat and Assembly'.

Is Naidu fearing Centre?: 'Chandrababu needn't fear Centre. There were no proposals to book cases against AP CM. Such cheap statements shouldn't be made'.
