A Perfect Trap for Revanth Reddy
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Jun 2015 3:52 PM GMTTRS Government laid a perfect trap to send TDP Legislator Revanth Reddy, who has been constantly attacking it since few months, behind the bars.
When it came to know Revanth Reddy swung into action to bribe the MLAs ahead of MLC Elections, A sting operation has been conducted to make sure there is no room for the fire brand leader to escape. Every nook & corner of TRS nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson's house was covered by the CCTV Cameras. Even the room where Revanth Reddy and Stephenson sat down to discuss the deal have multiple cameras. Hence, We are able to seen long shots, close-up shots and also shots from different angles in the footage released to the media. It is learnt that even Motion Cameras were used in the sting operation.
Of course, This isn't the first of its kind cash-for-vote scam. In 1993 when PV Narsimha Rao was the prime minister, There were allegations of offering bribes to four JMM MPs for no-confidence motion. However, All of them received clean chit later.
In 2005, 10 Lok Sabha MPs and 1 Rajya Sabha MP have been suspended on allegations of demanding bribe for raising questions in Parliament.
In 2008, 3 BJP MPs accused UPA Government of bribing them for voting in favour of them when no-trust motion was moved in Parliament.
