By: Tupaki Desk | 19 May 2021 12:57 PM GMTA lot of uncertainty is going on around the CBSE 12 exams and other board exams. A section of people wants to cancel the board exams given the Covid scare, while another section of people wants the board exams to be held.
In a big development in the exams row, a person who goes by the name Tony Joseph, from god's own country Kerala moved the Supreme Court with a petition to see that the CBSE Class 12 are not scrapped.
Tony Joseph is a Maths teacher by profession has knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court. In the petition, Tony said canceling the CBSE class 12 board exam would be unfair to the students.
"Class XII Board exams are the most integral exam in the life of a student. The class XII exam is a career defining and more importantly the admission to higher education institutions hinges on the result of this exam… cancelling the exams will cause injustice to the hardworking students who worked hard for the board exams," the petitioner said in the plea.
It has to be noted that, a few days back Advocate Mamata Sharma had knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court to seek directives to scrap the CBSE 12 exams in the light of the pandemic outbreak.
It has to be noted that, earlier on April 14, the CBSE announced that class 10 exams will be canceled, while the class 12 exams will be postponed. The new exam date would be announced based on the situation.
The CBSE went on to say that, if the board decided to go for the exams, the new exam schedule will be announced not less than 15 days prior to the exams so that there will be no confusion over the dates.
