Abdul Kalam's Final Rituals at his Birth Place

'People's President' Abdul Kalam's funeral will take place on Thursday morning in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
Sources say, Kalam's body will reach Rameswaram from New Delhi by Wednesday afternoon. The mortal remains of the Missile Man will laid to rest at around 10.30 am on Thursday.
On Tuesday morning, President Pranab Mukherjee received Abdul Kalam's body at Palam Airport. Prime Miniter Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Delhi Lt.Governor Najeeb Jung were also present at the airport.
Indian Army, Navy and Air Force paid last respects to APJ Abdul Kalam. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is one among the dignitaries who paid tributes to the former President at his residence. Kalam's Body will be kept at his New Delhi residence in Rajaji Marg for public to pay their last respects from 4 pm onwards.
