Legendary umpire from Pakistan Asad Rauf left us today due to cardiac arrest. The ex-International Cricket Council (ICC) elite panel member was 66 when he passed away. He stood as the umpire in all three formats as an on-field umpire and a third umpire as well. The former umpire passed away due to cardiac arrest.

It is known that Asad Rauf is running a cloth shop in Lahore. While reaching home from his house, he reportedly complained of chest pain. He was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment. Sadly, it was late and the doctors said he is no more after examining him.

Asad Rauf is one of the famous umpires in the world cricket. He made his debut as an umpire in 2005. A year after his debut, he was added to the International Cricket Council (ICC) elite panel. His career was at peaks for around a decade.

His career turned upside down when he faced allegations of spot-fixing. As a result, he was slapped with a ban of five years. After the ban, he lost interest in the game and his career as an umpire. As a new role in his life, he started a cloth shop in Lahore.

In his glorious career, Asad Rauf umpired in 64 Tests, 139 ODIs, and 28 T20s. This includes both third umpire and on-field empire. After a stunning first-class career, he ventured into the umpire world.
