Activists want Disha like punishment for the Guntur girl murder cuprit!

Tension gripped Andhra Pradeshâs Guntur region after a girl, who is pursuing her third year of engineering was brutally killed on Sunday in broad daylight. The murder took place when there were people around the victim.
The NGOs and the activists are battling for the demand that the attacker should be encountered for his heinous crime. The demand for the encounter is getting momentum with the growing support.
They are reportedly demanding a Disha-like encounter for the culprit. The Andhra Pradesh government is facing the wrath of the protests seeking the ultimate punishment for the killer.
The activists who are fighting for the encounter have placed their demand when Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Sucharita rushed to the GGH to see the victim. They say that encounters will inculcate fear in the minds of the attackers so that such attacks won't take place.
The activists are citing the examples of 2008 and 2019 encounters, where the culprits of acid attack and brutal gang rape were encountered respectively. The 2019 encounter dubbed as the Disha encounter became a national issue and everyone had lauded the Cyberabad police.
However, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar said that the encounter was not planned and the culprits were killed when they tried to attack the cops and escape from the spot during the crime recreation.
