Actor Krishnudu joined YSR Congress recently. In a interview, The Comedian was quizzed why he preferred YCP instead of Jana Sena Party - led by Pawan Kalyan. 'I am a fan of Chiranjeevi..he is an inspiration for Me. I used to watch films of Pawan Kalyan as well. Politically, I like YS Jagan. It's a personal choice! We have seen Pawan Kalyan campaign for TDP in 2014 Polls claiming Chandrababu Naidu has got vision and he would develop the state. See, What's happening Today! Four years later, Pawan Kalyan has been criticising Chandrababu Naidu on daily basis,' he said.
Krishnudu defended the move of YS Jagan to skip the Assembly Sessions. He told, 'When 23 YCP MLAs have been lured by TDP, Speaker didn't disqualify them as per anti-defection law. Jagan decided not to attend Assembly until these defectors were suspended'.
Citing the statement of Chandrababu during Telangana Polls 2018 (TDP - Congress - Jana Sena are one and the same), The Actor opined people had the feeling that there is a secret pact between Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. He found fault with Pawan Kalyan for confusing people with his lack of clarity and stability. 'Pawan claims he would contest from Anantapur if he visits Anantapur, then he would say Tekkali is his constituency in Tekkali, talks about contesting from Araku in Araku and asserts his roots were in Narsapur. A Leader should have stability. What kind of message he is sending to the public? Taking inspiration from Che Guevara, growing beard and wearing khaddar doesn't make anybody a Leader. A Leader has to come from the people. I believe Jagan is honest, straight forward and stands by his promises. Had if he compromised, Jagan would have become CM after YSR's death. Criticising such a Leader isn't a good thing at all,' he made it clear.
