Actor, Who Was Out To Deliver Life Saving Medicine, Was Stopped By The Cops!

In the wake of the Covid crisis spreading its wings, the Telangana government imposed a day lockdown earlier this month. Later, the lockdown has been extended and the lockdown restrictions are underway.
As the lockdown is in place, the Police Department is making sure that people won't step out of their residences. The cops are seizing the vehicles of people, who are roaming out on roads.
However, Tollywood actor Nikhil, who is helping Covid patients by supplying medical supplies was stopped by the cops. Even though he showed the cops the doctors Prescription and the details of the patients who need the supplies, the cops directed the hero to get an E-pass.
Taking to Social Media, Nikhil Siddhartha narrated the incident. In his words, he was traveling to Kims Minister Road from Uppal to supply medicines. Despite showing the Prescription and patient details he was asked to get an Epass.
Nikhil tried nine times, but the survey was down. He said that he thought medical emergencies were allowed in the state during the lockdown restrictions.
"Was on the way to deliver Emergency Life saving Medicines from Uppal to Kims Minister road... Inspite of providing the Prescription and patient details.. was stopped and asked to Get an Epass. Tried 9 times but the sever is down...I thought medical emergencies were allowed!!!," Nikhil tweeted.
The actor received a reply from the official Twitter handle of Hyderabad City Police saying that if he can share the details of his location, the issue can be resolved."Dear sir, please share your location, we will inform the concerned/local staff, to get it resolved. Thank you," the tweet reads. Replying to the tweet, Nikhil said, he has sent the required details through DM.
Not only the actor, but several people have also complained that they have issues with the cops as they are not allowing them to get the essential items too. On Saturday, media outlets are abuzz that online food delivery executives were stopped by the cops even though food delivery was permitted by the government.
