It is known that Bharatiya Janata Party leader and actor Sonali Phogat breathed her last recently. Earlier, it was reported that her death might be a natural one. But the CCTV footage showed that she might have forcefully fed drugs. Her family members also raised a few doubts about her death.

The case is surely one of the much-talked-about cases right now as new issues and angles involved in the case popped up. There are a few reports which say that she might have been killed. This added fuel to the momentum that the CBI investigation should be called for.

The family members have a few doubts and they are pushing for a Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) investigation. As the case is a sensitive one, Sonali Phogat's family members were given security. The Goa government reacted to the case now.

Talking about the death case, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, the case will be handed over to the CBI as the family members of the actor want the same.

"We have decided to hand over the Sonali Phogat investigation to the CBI. We have full faith in our police but people have repeatedly demanded and her daughter has also demanded that the case be handled by the CBI," the Chief Minister said.

Political experts say that the family members' demand is not the main reason behind the CBI thing. As Sonali Phogat is a BJP leader the leaders are making so much noise about the case and to get rid of all this scrutiny and criticism, the Goa government gave its nod for the CBI investigation.

Talking about the case, Sonali Phogat breathed her last earlier last month. The police investigation found that she might be forcefully fed drugs. Few of her associates were taken into police custody. It is said that she might have been drugged.

After the alleged drug issue came up, the opposition parties made a big issue and demanded that the CBI should probe the matter. Going by the rising demand and the momentum around the demand, the Goa government said the investigation will be handed over to the CBI.
