Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi choose former Congress MP Divya Spandana/Ramya to head the party's Social & Digital Media wing. Ever since then, The online campaigns of Congress Party have been completely under the control of this Sandalwood Actress. The Social Media Team began highlighting the statements of Rahul Gandhi & Anti-Modi campaigns on the digital platform.
Ramya is behind the good growth in followers for social media handles of Rahul Gandhi (@OfficeofRahulGandhi) and Congress (@INCIndia). Recently, She shared the photographs of Congress Prince undergoing the training of Japanese Martial Arts.
In 2012, Ramya joined Congress and got elected as MP from Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency. She is very active on social media and that really worked in her favour. Within three months after she took over the Social Media wing, Ramya brought Congress Facebook and Twitter Pages alive. Now, These social media handles have been used effectively to target BJP ahead of Gujarat Assembly Polls.
When Ramya was appointed as in-charge, There used to be only three women in the Congress Digital Media wing. But now, 85 percent of the entire staff have been women.
There is good response for Ramya's 'No Your Legacy' campaign. Known to be a firebrand, She was least bothered about the cases booked by state and central governments. BJP Leaders could no more say Congress Party is far behind it in using Social Media effectively.
