Add AP Govt As Defendant in Custodial Torture case: Supreme Court!

It is known that the Supreme Court is hearing the alleged custodial torture case of YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju aka RRR. Now the Apex Court issued some key orders in connection with the case. The orders say that the Andhra Pradesh government should be made the defendant in the case. RRR's son Bharat filed the case and in the petition, he maintained that his father was tortured after he was arrested in a defamation suit.
When the court heard the petition, the Supreme Court issued directives to add the state government as the defendant. The bench of the Supreme Court issued the orders. The lawyer who represented Bharat sought two weeks from the court. In response, the bench said, it will take a call on that once the government is added as the defendant.
Going back to the case, RRR was arrested from Hyderabad by the AP CID officials in connection with the defamation suit. He was then shifted to Andhra Pradesh. However, the MP later alleged that he was tortured and developed injuries. The army hospital also confirmed that there are injuries.
It has to be mentioned here that the custodial torture case grabbed everyone's attention and the MP is fighting hard on this. Now what the Supreme Court bench said should be seen as a key development in the case. It would be a piece of sensational news if the alleged custody torture gets proved.
