Pan-India star Prabhas is acting in his maiden Mythological drama film “Adipurush” which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayan. Bollywood director Om Raut is helming the much-awaited Pan-India film. The T-series company bankrolled the mighty project. The makers planned to release the film for the Sankranthi season. Now it is said that the movie is getting postponed.

Earlier, the makers announced that Adipurush would hit the theatres for Sankranthi. But the latest news is that the movie might get postponed and might be released in April or May as a summer treat. The makers are expected to make a formal announcement on this. Months ahead of the earlier announced date the movie reportedly got postponed.

The Pongal race in Tollywood became interesting with Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy locking horns with each other. Varisu film also locked Sankranthi season. There is an opinion on social media that Adipurush might have missed the season to avoid the box office clash.

On the other hand, it is also said that the VFX team kept itself busy in giving the best shot on the effects given the backlash and criticism the film received after the teaser was released.

Team Adipursuh faced brutal trolls on social media after the teaser was released. People did not like the poor effects they saw in the teaser. Trollers said the teaser appeared out of an animation film. This is not a good thing for the film which spent a lot of budget on Adipurush.

The characters in the film also became controversial with the politicians and right-wing members saying their sentiments hurt. A state Home Minister said the sentiments of Hindus were hurt by the teaser. Considering this, the makers are reportedly making a few changes to the characters' looks in the film.

Sai Ali Khan who played Demon King Ravan appearing as a Turkish and Vanaras projected like toys and Lord Hanuman wearing something like a leather jacket brought severe criticism and the team is said to be looking into the objections. To improve the VFX effects it costs around Rs 100 crores reportedly.

The makers already spent around Rs 450 crores on the film reportedly. Now the VFX work will add a budget of Rs 100 crores. If the makers have to see profits, then the film has to see the box office on fire. We have to wait and see what the film can do.

Prabhas is playing Raghava in Adipurush while Kriti Sanon is playing Janaki. Sai Ali Khan is playing Lankesh. Sunny Singh is playing the role of Lakshman. Adipurush will be released as a Pan-India film in all major languages. The Prabhas starrer will also be released in 3D and IMAX versions.
