Adolf Hitler was a Drug Addict

According to the book 'Blitzed: Druga in Nazi Germany' penned by award-winning German author Norman Ohler, Adolf Hitler was addicted to a Heroin-like substance called Eukodel. This drug was prescribed to him after a nervous breakdown in the year 1944.
The new book quotes Dr. Theo Morell who is Hitler's personal physician once revealed his patient's veins veins got damaged completely and he could no more inject the drug. He even told about the cancellation of injections for a day only to give a chance for the punctures holes to heal.
Adolf Hitler began injecting the drug after narrow escape from the assassination attempt known as 'Operation Valkyrie' in 1944. A bomb was placed in the briefcase and it was placed under his desk then. This explosion resulted in his nervous breakdown and broke his eardrums. The wooden desk acted as a shield for him to some extent.
Since this attack, Hitler didn't spent a single day sober but looked very anxious and paranoid. He used to inject Eukodel since then. This drug intake had a huge impact on his decision making during the World War II.
