BJP: Key Post Should Be Given To The Veteran

The one quality politicians shouldn't have is 'arrogance'. If a leader becomes arrogant with the success, it will start his downfall. When Modi questioned the people "Shouldn't a tea seller become a PM of India?" before 2014 elections, people answered 'yes' by making him the PM. Though people know his style of ruling in Gujarat state, many people expected that he got the maturity to become the PM.
Modi has won the hearts of the people with his magical speeches just like a personality development speaker does. Though there were some doubts about him, many people believed in him expecting that he would make India better. That gave him a huge majority. Surprisingly, Modi slowly started sending out the seniors in the party and appointed his supporters in crucial positions. He started taking unilateral decisions without consulting others. His attitude slowly increased disappointment in the allies of NDA. Even people slowly started getting angry with him.
The same people who wanted to make him the PM in 2014 are now determined to defeat him. That's the change happened in the last four years of Modi rule and the recent elections results are the proof to this trend.
Modi and Amit Shah kept all the seniors away. The way he treated his political guru LK Advani has damaged his reputation. Modi has understood the situation now. He and Amit Shah duo started damage control measures and trying to pacify seniors like Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi. To counter the anti-Modi wave they are requesting Advani, Joshi to contest the 2019 elections.
But the BJP supporters opine that the senior leaders should not accept their request for compromise easily. They should accept their proposal only if the priority is given to the hard-working leaders in the party than Modi-Shah group. Some people feel that Advani should be made president because he played the crucial role in developing BJP as a national party. It is known that Advani missed president post because of Narendra Modi. We have to wait and see how things shape up in the future.
