Severe poverty, no job opportunities, and tough to find food sums up the situation in Afghanistan, which is under the control of the Taliban. The situations in the country have changed at once after the Taliban captured the country. The financial reserves are unable to be accessed by the Taliban increasing poverty.
With problems surrounding all the concerns and the future not being bright, the people in Afghanistan have come up with an idea to look after their loved ones. Healthy people are using this idea to get money so that they can have some food.
The leading international media outlets have claimed that people in Afghanistan are selling their Kidneys due to various reasons. While the number of people in Afghanistan who are selling Kidneys is increasing rapidly, a particular region is seeing Kidney sales in large numbers.
Compared to the other places, people from the western city of Herat in Afghanistan are selling their kidneys in high numbers to get food as they are left with no jobs and no income.
People in the particular region are selling their kidneys to a level that the major share of the population has only one kidney. With many people selling their kidneys, the village is called "one-kidney village".
When asked by the media about their choice, the locals said that they were forced to do it as they have responsibilities and they have to take care of their families. Parents of small kids are selling their kidneys.
