Ever since the power in Afghanistan was shifted to Taliban troops from the President post the capture of capital city Kabul, the nation has been witnessing horrific and chaotic scenes.

With the situation turning problematic, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs had swung into action to provide hassle free entry to India by making new provisions to the visa policy.

In order to fast track the visa applications of those who want to leave the Taliban captured Afghanistan, Centre brought a new visa policy 'e-Emergency X-Misc Visa'

The visa policy that aims at clearing the visa process at a rapid pace is applicable only to the people of Afghanistan exclusively.

The Union Government had made a few changes to the existing visa policy so that the Nationals of Afghanistan would also be covered.

Irrespective of their religion, the Afghanistan nationals can apply for the visa to enter India.

Given the fact that the embassy was forced to shut due to the prevailing situations in Afghanistan, the union government made the entire process online.

The applicants should apply for the visa online by attaching all the required documents. The visa issued under the new guidelines will last for six months.

As the people coming from Afghanistan will be given six months time to reside in India, their background check and other process would be carried out in the meantime.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs said, more details like what all the documents are required to apply for the visa will be announced soon. The details will be made available on the official website.

India is already on a risky mission to evacuate the Indian diplomats and officials stranded in Afghanistan.

Two batches of Indian officials were evacuated in Indian Air Force aircrafts. While the aircraft carrying the first batch of officials had reached India on Sunday, the second aircraft is expected to reach the country today.

The process of evacuating the civilians will be kickstarted once the United States permits the civilian flights.

People living in Afghanistan are living with a great fear that Taliban troops might not let them live freely. The other day, visuals of people rushing into the airport to get into the aircraft went viral on social media.
