As a rare sight in Telugu politics, the Nara and Daggubati families that have different political stands have graced a function and spent some quality time with each other. Due to various reasons, both families have been distancing themselves from the other party. Recently, the Daggubati family stood in solidarity with Nara Chandrababu Naidu after the infamous Assembly incident.
Now Nara Family and Daggubati family graced a family function and posed for pictures together. TDP fans and sympathisers are happy with the moment and sharing their happiness over the pictures on social media.
Both families attended the wedding ceremony of Late NTR's granddaughter. Attending the bride-making ceremony, Nara and Daggubati families graced the occasion and blessed the couple. After a long time, both families clicked together.
The bride is the daughter of Kantamaneni Uma Maheswari, the younger daughter of yesteryear matinee idol Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the first Superstar of Telugu cinema. After leading the industry for three decades, NTR ventured into politics and floated TDP. Within nine months of starting the party, he rose to power.
Tracing back the history of the differences between Nara and Daggubati families, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao played his part in dethroning NTR which paved the way for Chandrababu Naidu to take over the party and become the Chief Minister of the combined Andhra Pradesh.
However, things turned ugly between Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Daggubati Venkateswar Rao and the latter quit the party. He and his wife Purandeshwari joined the grand-old Congress party and held various positions in the party. Though Venkateswara Rao could not win the next elections, Purandeshwari had managed to tase victory in the elections and hold big positions.
Later Daggubati Purandeshwari went on to become the Union Minister in the Congress party. She played a big role in setting up NTR's statue in Parliament.
Currently, Purandeshwari is with the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and currently serving the Andhra Pradesh wing of the party. With both families coming together had started a new debate that will both families forget the ugly past and walk hand in hand for a better future for both. Well, only time has the answer for this.
