After Maharashtra, AICC to focus on TPCC
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Nov 2019 4:47 AM GMTNow that the Maharashtra imbroglio is almost over, the Congress high command may now focus on picking the PCC chief in Telangana. The Congress leaders in Telangana are now eagerly waiting for the High Command to focus on reviving the party in the state. There are several claimants for the top post in Telangana. Ever since incumbent PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy indicated that he is no longer game to leading the party in the state, there have been several claimants for the top post.
While new entrant Revanth Reddy feels that his dynamism and the positive image will help the party, Nalgonda strongman Komatireddy Venkat Reddy strongly feels that he can lead the party to victory. There are young leaders like Santhosh Reddy, who are vying for the PCC chief’s post. Leaders like V Hanumath Rao and Ponnala Laxmaiah feel that the reins of the PCC should be given to the leaders from the BC community and this will help in bringing the BCs back into the Congress.
Meanwhile, Congress MLA from Sangareddy Turpu Jagga Reddy has also staked his claim saying that if given an opportunity, he would devote himself completely to the party affairs. He even offered not to contest for the MLA post in the next election and focus only on reviving the party.
